The30s

TYSC (Tilburgse YsSportClub) was founded October 21st 1938 and officially recognized January 18th 1939.
Those days, the club then was allowed to have 20 members, players including managment.
The ice hockey rink was built on the same premises
 
The official opening was December 8th 1938 with a hockey game between The Hague and a team from Belgium.
The first official hockey game that TYSC played was March 3rd 1939 against a team from Brussels Belgium which was won in favor of the Belgium's 6-2.
Highlight of the 1938-1939 season in Tilburg was an exhibition game played in bad weather on February 24th between the World Champions from Canada "The Trail Smoke Eaters" and the American National Team which was won by Canada : 2-1.
The sold out game was a great promotional stunt for ice hockey in Tilburg.
